How do I enter the Sweepstakes?

There are three ways to enter the Sweepstakes:

1. Join Melvincares.com. You automatically receive 2 entries in the Sweepstakes with a World-Class membership and 1 entry with an All-Access Membership.
   
   
2. Tell-a-Friend. Members who refer others receive 3 additional Sweepstakes entries for each friend who also becomes a member.
   
   
3. Mail. Send a hand-written postcard with your name, address, city/state/zip, phone, and e-mail address to:

   All entries must be postmarked by December 31, 2007. Contest ends on December 31, 2007 at 11:59:59 p.m. CST. The Grand Prize drawing will be held on January 15, 2008. The winner will be notified by certified mail.
   
   

How many sweepstakes entries do I earn for referring new members?

For each friend who you refer, who goes on to become a member, you earn three (3) sweepstakes entries.

How do you choose your artists?

Our music artists are emerging, world-class artists who have been overlooked by the mainstream record label system or who has chosen to follow their own path. Artists can either submit their work to Melvincares.com for consideration or be "discovered" by our talent scouts. Final determination is made by our Artist Selection Panel.

What kind of file format are the downloads?

MP3 format for all single tracks and albums. Album downloads are in a Zip file format that you can open on your computer with WinZip® or Stuffit® compression software.

How do I listen to the tracks before I download them?

You can listen to 45-second cuts of the tracks by clicking Listen on Mel's Jukebox. This works anytime you're on the homepage or My Melvin Page. To listen to the entire track click on View Artist Page and download the track or album to your computer.

I can’t get the music files to download?

Check your browser preferences or e-mail us at info@melvincares.com.

Is the music I download copyright protected?

No. The downloads are not copyright or DRM protected. You can burn discs or copy the files, for your own use, to any MP3 player or other digital device.

How do I retrieve my password?

Click on the Forgot your password? link on the log-in screen and we will e-mail you a link to create a new password.

How do I update my account if my billing or address changes?

For changes to your account information, e-mail us at info@melvincares.com and we’ll assist you with the updates.

How do I customize My Melvin Page?

You can personalize your headline with your username. Links to your friends are added automatically when your referrals join Melvincares.com. Stay tuned for more customizing options for music, photos, and more coming soon. As we add more options, we’ll notify you by e-mail.

How do I order albums?

Click on the buy button when you are on the Album page. You’ll be taken to a secure site where we will process your payment information.
